City Press is a national Sunday newspaper with a weekly readership of over 1,6m* people (*AMPS 2011 BA), carrying news from South Africa, the continent and the rest of the world.  It has separate Sports, Business, Careers sections as well as an opinion and analysis section – Voices– with award winning journalists and social commentators as contributors.  It also carries a tabloid entertainment supplement, 7, and is the only Sunday newspaper with a glossy lifestyle magazine – the recently launched  iMagazine. Editor in Chief Ferial Haffajee has been at the helm since 2009 and was the first Black woman to edit a major South African newspaper; she is a board member of the International Press Institute and the International Women’s Media Foundation.
